Cornish Cruising's Royal Yachting Association Powerboat Courses from Falmouth including Beginners Level 1 and 2, Intermediate, Advanced, Safety and Personal Watercraft.
Vessels used for Powerboat Course's include a Ribeye 600 (2008), Ribeye 650 (2008) and a 18ft Motor Launch with inboard Diesel.

Powerboat Level 1 Course
Provides a practical introduction to boat handling skills. The cost of this course is £130
Powerboat Level 2 Course
Provides the skills and background knowledge needed by the competent powerboat driver and is the basis of the 'International Certificate of Competence". The cost of this course is £230.
Powerboat Intermediate Course
Covers practical use of pilotage and passage planning by day on coastal waters, using both traditional and electronic navigational techniques. The cost of this course is £230.
Powerboat Advanced Course
Provides the skills and background knowledge needed by powerboat
drivers operating by day or night in known or unfamiliar waters, the
skipper's role and boat handling in more demanding conditions. The
cost of this course is £265.
Safety Boat Course
Provides the skills required when acting as an escort craft, safety
boat or coach boat for a fleet of dinghys, windsurfers or canoes and
for racing or training activities. The cost of this course is £230.
Powerboat Instructor Course
Level 2 Instructors course
This is a 3 day course which is taught and assessed by separate instructors. Once you have achieved the certificate you will be able to teach power boat level 1,2 and Safety Boat for a recognised RYA centre. The cost of the course is £305.
Advanced Instructors course
This again is a 2 day course. The course is for Advanced Power boat drivers to teach the syllabus of Advanced powerboat, this includes advanced boat handling, search and rescue & heavy weather handling. The cost of the course is £305.
