Cornish Cruising is pleased to annouce to beginners and experienced sailors alike, the Circumnavigation UK cruise.
Imagine having the opportunity to learn, or improve on the skills needed to sail anywhere in the world, while enjoying the beautiful, breath taking scenery of the British Isles. Anchoring in one of her many rocky coves, sailing with dolphins and whales, visiting a selection of spectacular harbours and villages along the way.
Each candidate will be invloved with the day to day planning for the boat, this will include choosing destinations; ports and anchorage; charting passages etc.
RYA qualifications to Coastal Skipper can be gained during the passage.
The cruise starts and finishes at Falmouth Marina and will take 6 weeks on board our new Bavaria 46 'Wheal-go'.
Week 1 Falmouth - Ipswich
Including: Dartmouth, Solent, Dover, Maldon.
Week 2 Ipswich - Whitby
Including: Great Yarmouth, Norfolk Broads, Hull.
Week 3 Whitby - Inverness
Including: Newcastle, Farne Islands, Edinburgh, Aberdeen.
Week 4 Inverness - Oban (Via Orkney or Loch Ness and Caledonian Canal)
Including: Orkneys, Cape Wrath, Western Isles, Skye, Mull.
Week 5 Oban - Cork
Including: Donegal, Mayo, Galway, Dingle Peninsula.
Week 6 Cork - Isles of Scilly - Falmouth
Including: Fastnet, Bryher, St Marys, Newlyn, Penzance.
Total Distance 1700 - 2000 Miles
